Coming to Rio Carnival you should not only get your flight tickets but do a bit of preparation about your 2009 tickets for the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, in advance, too. Study the 2009 Rio Carnival program guide and pick the ones you intend to attend. Make sure whether, how and when you have to buy your tickets.		But don´t worry. It is, in fact, already a few weeks before Carnival that the parties, the most animated group rehearsals, the competition for the election of the Carnival King and Queen, the samba shows, the final rehearsals at the samba schools and the costume exhibitions already start taking place. When to buy your 2009 Rio Carnival tickets

The 2009 Samba Parade tickets should be organized first as this is the most sought after Rio Carnival event and available seats in the Sambodromo are too few. Buy your ticket as early as possible for the principal nights, Carnival Sunday and Monday.

You will find tickets for the other Samba Parades in the Sambodromo such as the Children's Parade, Schools in Group A and B in most Rio high street travel agencies even a few days before the event.

You should also buy your tickets for the Magic Ball in Copacabana Palace Hotel at least 2 months in advance.

You are advised to buy tickets for the Costume Competition in Hotel Gloria and the Gay or Gala Ball in Rio Scala, a week in advance.

You can get all other 2009 Rio Carnival tickets (including all other Scala balls) when already in Rio or on the door at the box office.

Lots of places, even samba schools, also offer tables or boxes for the night, thus do inquire should you wish to have one for your party.
